The Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at UC Irvine Health School of Medicine is dedicated to the diagnosis and understanding of human diseases through biomedical and clinical research. The department's research programs are located in laboratories at UC Irvine Medical Center and on the Irvine campus. They are supported by funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and other extramural sources. Works under minimal supervision of the CAO and in coordination with Laboratory leadership and key stakeholders Project Manager plays a key role in execution and implementation of key department and enterprise initiatives. Projects includes Utilization Management, Antibiotic Stewardship, continuation of successful Bring it home campaign, redesign of department webpage, ARUP Gateway, Sustain the Gain (STG) operational transformation, Vizient engagement, benchmarking, UC consortium liaison, and future Rhodes phases. Project Manager independently oversees all aspects of projects including defining appropriate work scope and objectives, responsible for the development of detailed project plans, establishing and managing deadlines assigns responsibilities and monitor and summarizes reports to executive leadership on status on projects. The Project Manager will work directly with internal and external departments to ensure all deliverables fall within applicable scope and budget and are compatible with established project goals and objectives. Track and report status of various projects. Provide analysis and recommendation on development of assigned projects. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary as this position is highly collaborative.
