The director of product management has a strong consumer technology and user experience background and is responsible for creating and executing our marketing technology roadmap. The roadmap should map to organizational business goals and will focus on things like advancing the website in customer acquisition, customer engagement; customer conversions, personalization, and CMS distributed authorship.Day-to-day operations management will involve ensuring the websites are meeting industry standards, establishing and meeting SLAs for internal client requests and managing sprint cycles for a web development & quality assurance team, implementing new features, delivering analytics reports, and performing daily website updates.The Director of Product Management will be responsible for defining KPIs and managing the work needed to continually improve against them by analyzing and synthesizing market data, tracking ongoing product performance, collecting and analyzing stakeholder feedback and using this data to define feature development and go-market strategies. This individual oversees the strategy and execution of the roadmap and ensures effective communication and tactical day-to-day product management for the website.This is a management role involving oversight of vendors and several full-time web team members: Web Operations Manager, Web Developers, UX Designer, and Data Analyst.UW Medicine's external websites are critical to the success of the Strategic Marketing and Communications department and UW Medicine. They are our most highly-trafficked brand vehicle and a key customer acquisition vehicle. A strong web team is crucial to ensuring our website provides a best in class user experience so we remain competitive and are able to respond to evolving organizational needsPOSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPRODUCT MANAGEMENT:Lead cross-functional business planning and stakeholder updates for website initiatives.Define, scope and oversee implementation of large-scale technology initiatives and smaller-scale feature requests.Serve as Product Owner driving user story development, backlog refinement, and prioritization.Collaborate with Content and Digital Strategy team and senior leadership to prioritize feature development in order to achieve business goals.Collaborate closely with the UX Designer to identify user needs and product decisions.Improve operational efficiency including documenting, simplifying, and optimizing CMS implementation and producer experience.STRATEGY:Own website and marketing technology strategy from idea generation through execution and measurement, including resource and budget forecasting.Partner with Marketing and Communications senior leadership and team to define, prioritize and deliver features to achieve customer acquisition and engagement goals.Define and deliver hosting and security strategy and ensure website meets standards such as WC3, uptime, and page load times.Define and prioritize the team backlog according to business and execution strategy.Identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
