The Annual Giving Manager is a key contributor to the individual giving team coordinating day-to-day activities of the giving program. Focused on broad-based participation and the entry tiers of leadership giving, the manager is responsible for securing acquisition and renewal gifts, increasing participation among parents, alumni and other constituencies, advancing donors with significant giving potential through the pipeline toward leadership giving and demonstrating appreciation to donors at all levels.
Success is determined by campaign execution, meeting budgeted dollar goals and participation targets, and the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with volunteers.
This is a full-time, year around position reporting to the Director of Development and works in close collaboration with Major Gifts, Advancement Services, and Alumni leadership with various night and weekend responsibility.
Contribute to and successfully implement an annual plan to achieve donor and dollar goals across constituencies and in coordination with the department operating plan
Contribute to and implement strategies to secure health and growth of the annual giving program focusing on acquisition and renewals at all pre-leadership (<$5k) gift levels
Articulate the case for support with integrity through personal interactions and across marketing platforms
Collaborate with communications and development colleagues to develop impactful fundraising materials with a goal of growing participation, increasing gift club membership, and ensuring retention
Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships with fundraising volunteers – developing meaningful engagement opportunities for parent and alumni board committees
Project manage annual giving outreach with attention to detail, tact, and efficiency, thoughtfully engaging and partnering with volunteers and staff
Deliver personal and timely communication to volunteers, prospects, and donors
Coordinate timely and meaningful annual giving recognition
Support leadership giving activities by coordinating the solicitation and stewardship calendar
Perform all other duties as assigned, contributing meaningfully to department goals
Work Requirements and Qualifications
A minimum of two years of fundraising and volunteer management experience
Enthusiastic self-starter and team-player with an ability to problem-solve and exercise sound judgment
Exceptional written communication and interpersonal skills
Skilled project manager with a successful track record of driving projects/initiatives to completion
Organized with impeccable follow up skills and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities
Impeccablelistening skills and attention to detail
Commitment to personal and professional growth
Experience with databases (preferablywith Raiser’s Edge and RE NXT), and word processing and spreadsheet software
