The Office of Admission and Student Engagement (VASE) at the USC Viterbi School of Engineering is a large academic services unit supporting numerous level programs and offerings for credit and continuing education. This office works with eight engineering departments to provide student services, instructional services, technical support, and student recruitment. VASE additionally offers courses online to remote students via the Distance Education Network (DEN@Viterbi) which supports over 40 Master's Programs and Continuing Education offerings. There are over 9,000 on campus and online students served by VASE.
This position serves as the project manager for student affairs, specializing in student engagement and mobile app management. This position manages all aspects of maintaining the Experience Viterbi mobile App (EVA) and work in partnership with the eight academic department on Viterbi-wide efforts to promote student engagement across all student populations.Â Specific collaboration is required for groups such as Central USC Student Affairs, Viterbi Career Connections, Center for Engineering Diversity, Viterbi Student Organizations and Women In Engineering. This position will work directly with specific student populations on-campus and online to ensure the EVA effectively enhances the Viterbi student experience.Â In addition, this position will launch a volunteer service initiative to track service hours completed by Viterbi students.
Provide administrative and academic oversight of the Experience Viterbi App. Develops objectives and program goals for VASE, academic departments, and university partners. Focus on student development and outcomes within the parameters of the app and student engagement goals.
Works in collaboration with academic departments, student affairs groups, student advocacy and well-being, and other stakeholders to support EVA implementation and student engagement.
Develops and coordinates volunteer, outreach, service-learning opportunities with key units and partners. Reviews student engagement and outcomes as part of this student service-learning model.
Provides oversight of EVA student programs and events and may supervise staff and student workers in the delivery of services.
Provides input for program budgets. Manages expenses and analyses cost effectiveness for resources and spending.
Monitor and coordinate EVA content, point distribution and prizes
Coordinate EVA Stakeholder committees. Manage participation and develops user policies. Conduct and track EVA user trainings.
Review and provide EVA analytics.
Coordinate EVA events and programming as needed.
Lead EVA Testing efforts and coordinate with vendor.
Participates in the development and implementation of program policies and procedures. Participates in School and University wide committees focusing on specialized services for student groups.
Acts as University and School liaison and representative to promote student programs, engagement, opportunities, and outcomes. Develops materials to help advertise events and assess effectiveness of materials and external communication.
Maintains professional currency through participation in associations, committees, workshops, and other means of networking. Represents the university and department as assigned.
