The USC Keck School of Medicine - Alzheimer Therapeutic Research Institute (ATRI), located in San Diego, California, is an academic institute comprised of an expert panel of scientific collaborators, committed to advancing the development of new treatments for Alzheimerâs Disease (AD) through innovative clinical trials.
ATRI is seeking a motivated, dependable, and experienced Business Data Analyst to support ATRI clinical research efforts. The Business Data Analyst will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated reports and workflow tools to include, but not limited to:
Recruitment reports analyzing data pulled from multiple distinct databases
Web based quarterly site payment statements with individualized site access and approvals log
Financial Management Dashboard combining pre-award, post-award, and effort assignments in various visual presentations
Employee training tracker with automated standard reports and expiration notification tools
Ad hoc reports including demographics reporting, unit resource usage, utility and return analysis, etc.
Carries out quality assessment of data, data reports and the accompanying decisions
Provides recommendations for decisions affecting business operations and strategic initiatives
Stays current with industry data analyses techniques, standards and related technologies
The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills for communicating with all levels of personnel and groups. Â Essential skills include proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degreeMinimum Experience: 3 yearsMinimum Field of Expertise: Direct knowledge and experience in data modeling, data warehousing and reporting. Project management experience for complex projects. Demonstrated organizational, critical thinking, interpersonal, planning, problem solving, and business analytical skills. Able to work at a high functional and technical level.
