The Research III staff member will serve as a research assistant for the Physical Therapy Data Center. The Physical Therapy Data Center serves as a Data Coordinating Center for several federally funded multicenter exercise and rehabilitation trials.
The research assistant will support the Director of the Data Center with coordinating internal and external DCC meetings, distribution of DCC reports, scheduling travel for DCC activities, and documentation of DCC expenses. The research assistant will work closely with the data manager to format data collection instruments and training materials, as well as test electronic data capture systems.
He/she will be responsible for communicating data issues to participating sites and monitoring resolution. He/she will also be responsible for tracking laboratory, imaging, and activity monitor samples and their processing. The research assistant will assist the research project manager with central IRB and human research protections compliance across all participating sites.
* Experience working in clinical research
* Prior experience with research databases such as REDCap, OnCore, or other relational electronic data capture system
* Experience coordinating meetings and facilitating communication for research projects or research groups
* Administration and execution, including policies and procedures of: Office of Research, Institutional Review Board, Education and Compliance, Good Clinical Practice, Human Subjects Protection, grants and contracts.
