The Theatre Program at Stockton University is seeking applicants for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Theatre Arts/Production Management in support of its Liberal Arts BA Performing Arts program for Spring 2020.
Teach at least 3 courses in Theatre and the Liberal Arts
Serve as Production Manager for the Theatre program
Help lead design and production elements of the season including stage management and technical theatre tasks
Facilitate producer tasks
Collaborate with the Performing Arts faculty
Lead public relations, utilizing digital and traditional methods to communicate effectively with current students and prospective students, as well as alumni and the community
Be a conduit between the Stockton Theatre faculty and Stockton Technical Director
Help to build a strong organizational theatre production program, including the use of digital arts to organize and structure the program
The ability to support Stockton University’s diversity commitment and strong student-centered vision and mission.
Master’s Degree (M.A., etc.) in Theater-related field, in hand at time of appointment
Past professional experience as a production manager
Demonstrated abilities and past professional experience in helping to manage/produce a Performing Arts Program's production season
Demonstrated abilities and past professional experience in a diverse range of technical theatre arts.
Demonstrated abilities in teaching and/or mentoring others in technical theatre arts
Demonstrated abilities and past professional experience as a stage manager and digital organizer
