The Institute for Justice, IJ, seeks a technology professional eager to play a leading role in managing the direction of IJ’s Information Technology (IT) Department.
IJ is the National Law Firm for Liberty. IJ was established in 1991 and has won cases in courts across the country, including six at the U.S. Supreme Court. In addition to fighting in court on behalf of small business owners, educational choice advocates, property owners and free speech issues, the Institute for Justice has a legislative team working to make changes at the local and state government levels.
Headquartered in Arlington VA, IJ has facilities in six locations within the United States, including Miami, FL; Austin, TX; Tempe, AZ; Minneapolis, MN; and Seattle, WA, and employs approximately 100 full-time staff.
Project management for system upgrades
Staff technical needs analysis
Assisting IT Director as needed with tasks including:
Managing the deployment, development, monitoring, maintenance, and upgrades of IJ’s IT systems, including workstations, operating systems, servers, services, software applications, telephones, and conferencing equipment.
Developing Standard Operating Procedure and maintaining other IT related documentation
Maintaining system security
