Reporting to the Assistant Director of Donor Relations, the Assistant Manager of Donor Relations is a full-time professional position responsible for collaborating with colleagues in the Development Department, and across the organization, on programs that acknowledge donors at all levels of support and demonstrate the value of donor investments across the organization. As an integral part of the BSO’s comprehensive donor relations program, the Assistant Manager will administer donor benefits, direct the production and dissemination of engaging impact reports, oversee recognition initiatives, and work with development staff to provide donor-centric stewardship best practices and deliverables.
·Serve as the Donor Relations team’s primary resource for Tessitura reporting, donor recognition data entry, and data integrity
·Manage administration of annual donor stewardship benefits
·Oversee donor recognition listings in all publications, program books, and the Annual Report
·Project Manage complex endowment reporting process
·Project Manage annual stewardship for Tanglewood Music Center Fellowship Program
·Manage the Development Department’s Digital Asset Management system
·Assist in development and execution of new opportunities to recognize generosity to endowment, capital, operating, and annual giving projects
·Assist with some events logistics and provide day-of logistics support
·Other duties as assigned
A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years of job-related experience is required, with fundraising, stewardship, or donor relations experience preferred. Qualified candidate must be a clear communicator with experience representing an organization to donors, trustees, and other external stakeholders. Demonstrated experience working with Constituent Record Management systems required (experience with Tessitura preferred). Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required, including comprehensive knowledge of Excel and Mail Merge.The ideal candidate will be highly organized, flexible, and an adept problem-solver with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to coordinate multiple projects. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills: tact, teamwork, good judgment, confidentiality, a sense of humor, and a demonstrated ability to set priorities and achieve goals are required for success.
