MSK is embarking on a Digital Transformation and created a Digital Accelerator to help us build our digital capabilities. The Digital Accelerator (DA) is a hub for new ideas, innovations, testing, and the development of new digital products and services to support patients, researchers, and clinicians. Were using an agile approach and user-centered design to build products that will improve the patient journey. Were a brand-new, lean group that is team-oriented, passionate about our work and focused on making an impact at MSK.
We are working on one-of-a-kind, functional digital products that will help doctors and patients make life-saving decisions. We're excited to find a motivated and hard-working employee to advise and lead agile squads on agile values, practices, and processes. Your role will be to ensure that an agile squad is fully functional, productive, and focused on sprint goals.
This is a critical and meaningful role as we're looking for the right person to own the vision and definition of the product along with representing both the voice of users and stakeholders.
Create, maintain, and prioritize the backlog of information around what needs to be built and when
Own responsibility for success of product & project deliverables
Decides what features are required for product and order in which they will be delivered
Writes requirements based on definitions of product readiness/product completeness
Defines user-product criteria to satisfy through development
Coordinates the hiring and staffing of project teams along with the work between technical and business talent
Manages engagement with technical stakeholders as needed
Plans sprints exclusively responsible for planning sprint content
Responsible for making trade-offs between scope, budget, timeline with leadership
Deliver business results and agree to specific and measurable KPIs with team
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required
High awareness of agile best practices and methodologies
3+ years as project coordinator, scrum master or project manager/product owner
Ability to break down user journeys/stories to deliver incrementally based on an MVP strategy
Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills ability to push back
Experience using project management tools such as JIRA is necessary
Experience with other Agile approaches: i.e., XP, Kanban, FDD, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), etc.
Strong analytical mindset, excellent communication, presentation, and mentorship skills.
Technical aptitude to support the programs use of work management and collaboration tools.
