WORK TYPE: Full-time. Exempt from overtime.
Works with Project Management team to provide operational insight, administrative leadership, and consultation on facility master planning functions and opportunities in support of the organization’s strategic plan. Collaborates with project sponsors and applicable departments (e.g. Strategy and Business Development, Innovations, Finance, Facilities, etc.) to prepare business plans. Assists with the development and management of new projects from initiation through occupancy. Provides input into project plans and acts as point person for specifically assigned projects.
Responsible for coordinating the implementation of designated projects, interfacing with various Hospital, Support Services Departments, health system entities or outside organizations/contractors, and facilitating project planning sessions including project scope, project plan, task scheduling, team management, etc. Enables proactive decisions and actions to mitigate project scope, schedules and budgets overages in a quick and confident manner.
Responsible for creating project equipment lists, reviewing equipment lists with Project Team, and maintaining real-time equipment lists in Attainia (equipment planning software) for all ongoing projects. Responsible for placing and tracking all expense and capital equipment orders, coordinating equipment deliveries to project sites, and ensuring items are received in Lawson for accurate payment to vendors.
Actively participates in project design and construction meetings to facilitate the transition of patient care operations and manage project schedule. Acts as a liaison between Facilities, Supply Chain, project end users, and stakeholders to communicate project status, issues, and equipment updates. Maintains up-to-date project status and tracking in Planview (project management software) for system-wide visibility. Responsible for oversight of equipment installation and set-up and management of project go-live to mitigate any operational concerns.
Performs duties in a manner that supports the goals and objectives of the Geisinger Health System in its efforts to provide quality, cost-effective patient care and an exceptional experience.
Reports directly to the Director, Clinical Enterprise Planning & Capital Projects.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Master’s Degree in Health Administration or other related field is required.
Bachelor’s degree plus three years experience relevant project management required.
Project implementation experience and a strong understanding of health care systems and workflow required.
Project management professional (PMP) or equivalent certification preferred.
Relevant experience in a complex healthcare organization preferred, including physician relations and experience working with administrative leadership.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is typically performed in an office environment, as well as settings throughout the system and surrounding communities. Independent travel to the sites is required.
