JobDescription : Role Purpose The Process Owner - Workflow is a critical role in enabling the effective and efficient operations of global workflow processes and playing a key part in driving process automation and improvement. As a strategic partner to multiple roles across the organization (Technology, Strategic Operations, Commercial, Data, Analytical, Compliance, etc.) the Process Owner uses their business knowledge and operational acumen to oversee and continuously improve workflow processes and align to business value.
Business Impact The Process Owner role is one with global impact and coverage across all practices in addition to the broader data, technology and operations community. This role works closely with Technology and Strategic Initiative teams to connect transformation initiatives with workflow and workflow users. The role also works with Analytical Managers and their teams to ensure a high level of operational efficiency, problem solving, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities The Process Owner is responsible for monitoring workflow performance and improving the process - and specifically:
Acts as a subject matter expert on workflow and uses LEAN tools to design and implement optimized processes
Develops and monitors process metrics, linking trends to process improvement opportunities
Designs new processes to meet regulatory needs while maintaining efficiency
Documents and maintains process flow documentation, ensuring related process intersections are identified
Develops standard work and ensure process standardization
Solves problems and prevent them from reoccurring
Collaborates with Partners to plan and enable workflow onboarding
Project Owner of process improvement, automation, or convergence projects
Accountable for the successful execution and delivery of the project along with defined business value
Capabilities & Key Attributes
The role requires a deep understanding of S&P Global Ratings' business, ideally with experience working across multiple practices and countries / regions
Continuous improvement and process mind-set coupled with role-modeling Lean and Agile behaviors
A strong customer focus is required, which requires understanding of who our customers are and how they use our products
While this role is not a technical one it requires a keen interest and desire to learn about technology and data with a "digital mindset" when thinking about problem solving and engaging partners to deliver solutions
Strong influencing and creative problem solving skills
Background & Experience
7+ Years in Industry: Operations or Data experience preferred
Experience leading projects and analyzing complex processes is highly valued
Exposure to different parts of the organization in a variety of roles preferable
