The Role: You will support the In-Business Control team within the Chief Operating Office function, based in New York. This role is central to S&P Global Ratings' efforts to maintain and enhance first-class procedures to manage risk within S&P Global Ratings' Information Technology and Operating Office organization.
Your Impact: The role will support evolving the first line risk management capabilities within S&P Global Ratings' Information Technology and Operating Office organization, including managing a portfolio of work relating to designing and implementing controls, establishing quantitative monitoring of control operational effectiveness, and as needed assisting with the development and implementation of process improvements.

Responsibilities: -Work with Technology and Operations leadership globally to identify and assess risk, develop risk mitigation procedures that strengthen controls, and ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory control requirement -Lead continuous improvement initiatives and projects to help mature the procedures to manage risk and control within S&P Global Ratings' Operating Office. This includes:
Drive changes through to completion, including, where applicable, drafting or updating procedure manuals and policies, reviewing IT user stories and overseeing change management/training activities
Conduct a post-implementation review of the effectiveness of the change
Program manage continuous improvement initiatives, including tracking progress of own and others' work and reporting/escalating as appropriate
-Support regulatory and other requests for information, as required -Track action plans to completion, monitor and report on risk, control related issues and activities -Work collaboratively to develop control improvement plans in response to exam and audit findings -Manage a portfolio of activities related to planning and executing technology and operations control assessment activities -Validate self-assessment results and review applicable independent analyses -Understand and convey technology and operations control and risk management concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences -Provide technology control expertise while working with business, control function, and stakeholders -Conduct reviews of current processes with recommendations on auditing, reporting and exception identification and remediation -Review technology and operations documentation
Bachelors required, MBA or higher degree preferred
7 years of experience preferred
Strong technical Information security and technology risk management background
Possess expertise of key general IT controls and risk mitigation procedures
Experience in the following areas: technology, project management; process management, IT audit and quality control
Critical thinking and problem solving skills
Ability to grasp complex concepts and synthesize effective solutions
Demonstrated skills in tailoring presentations/communications to varied audiences (i.e. business vs. technical and working group vs. executive management)
Track record of superior performance with emphasis on quality and timely delivery
Ability to operate in a complex, fast paced, matrix environment; including the ability to influence and negotiate effectively with others
Willingness to be hands-on and detailed oriented
Experience in Technology Audit
Experience in Financial Services
Understanding of regulatory landscape for Technology
Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Certified Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) certifications preferred
Understanding of the ratings process
