Join the Financial Management Group Projects and Change team in Martin Place and contribute to the success of a high performing team as a Business Analyst or Senior Business Analyst. Your demonstrated success in a role within a financial services business as a Business Analyst and experience within a project delivery team will ensure you are a suitable candidate for this role. You will work across functional teams and focus on business process change projects and/or new platform implementations.
As an employee in this team, you will have a diverse set of responsibilities including the main project of focus being various regulatory projects such as Large Exposures, SACCR, EFS, etc working with stakeholder groups across Finance and Risk. You will be responsible for assisting with the delivery of new reporting requirements, impacting both quarterly submissions to APRA and daily internal monitoring processes. You will engage with project managers and project matter experts to review new regulations, facilitate interpretations and gather business requirements. You will work with systems and data architects to identify strategic long-term solutions and acquire an understanding of current state processes and business context.
Key responsibilities will include:
Working with business and program stakeholders to implement approved scope
Creating and maintaining delivery timelines and engagement schedules in line with program deadlines
Consulting with SME stakeholders to gather and document requirements
Supporting and managing design, build and testing phases
Documenting and owning business acceptance test cases
Establishing post go-live processes and managing business readiness
Ensuring compliance with program standards, templates and processes.
Proactively engaging with stakeholders to ensure open communication and a 'one team' approach
Collaborating with vendor consultants, architects and technology to develop effective end to end solutions to meet FMG requirements
You are a university qualified Business Analyst with significant experience in medium to large Finance Project roles
Regulatory projects experience within the financial services industry
You will also have:
Minimum 4-8 years Business Analyst experience
A flexible, proactive, solution oriented approach and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong documentation skills with the ability to develop complete, accurate and unambiguous documentation of business analysis artefacts
Ability to exercise initiative and be able to follow through on issues
Pragmatic approach to problem solving
'Can do' attitude, with a proven record of delivering within a project team
Flexible skill set and confident approach to tackling issues
Experience working on regulatory capital or liquidity projects, ideally SACCR, Large Exposures or EFS
Familiarity with Axiom would be highly advantageous - in particular, knowledge of Axiom reporting Taxonomy
Prince2 or PMI qualifications are an advantage
CA/CPA qualifications are an advantage
