The Business Process Advisor works with internal and external stakeholders to enhance and improve business applications and processes. The successful candidate will assist in the development and design of future state applications and processes that align with SaskEnergy’s strategic plan and corporate vision. The role acts as a liaison to facilitate development of desired business outcomes by conducting process reviews, gathering, validating and communicating requirements, while providing expertise, guidance, recommendations and leading stakeholders to a common focus and optimizing efficiency.
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business Administration.
Five (5) years’ experience working on IT projects with a solid understanding of mainstream project management methodologies. This includes:
Working with varying level of stakeholders within tight timeframes.
Facilitating and documenting business requirements and/or performing and documenting process reviews.
Working with mainstream modeling software, information sharing platforms and group facilitation products.
Strong written, verbal and active listening communication skills and related skills are critical to this assignment.
Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) or other formal Business Analyst training is considered an asset.
Experience working in a natural gas utility or crown corporation is considered an asset for this position.
Practical experience with testing software would be also considered an asset.
This position is temporary full-time for up to 14 months.
Travel, including overnight stays away from bid headquarters is required on occasion.
