ER Veterinarian

Waldorf Emergency CARE a privately owned, well equipped, busy 24- hour emergency hospital serving Southern Maryland, VA, Washington DC suburbs. IT IS A HUGE state of the art stand- alone facility with large dedicated suites (surgery, endoscopy, radiology, ultrasound, critical care/ ICU)

We are looking for somebody who is excited by the idea of helping to build our Level 1 unit and raising the level of medicine being practiced.

We currently offer Medicine referral and emergency services to Southern Maryland, VA, Washington DC suburbs. Equipment includes digital radiography, full in-house lab, ultrasound, endoscopy, mechanical ventilation, and state-of-the-art monitoring equipment. The staff includes a specialist in Internal Medicine. 24/7 Medicine. Surgery, and Criticalist consultation/access, is available. Because we are not a corporate facility, emergency doctors must be comfortable (or want to learn) to manage all aspects (including surgical) of emergent and critical care patients. The caseload is diverse, busy, and challenging.

In addition to small animals, we currently see avian’s and exotic’s. Interest is appreciated and encouraged but not required, or expected. We have in-house education for doctors and technicians, and host referring veterinarians for continuing education forums monthly (DC Academy).

We have a large group of experienced and dedicated emergency veterinary technicians that can manage most nursing cases, including those on mechanical ventilation, continuous thoracic drainage, etc.. Your desire to continue learning and to participate in the teaching of staff is very important.
