About the Job:
The Assistant Director, Campaign Management provides high level project management support for Kellogg’s campaign team. This position serves as the direct link from the Office of Advancement to the Dean’s Office, managing and overseeing the flow of briefing documents in support of the Kellogg campaign. This position coordinates with the major gifts and senior campaign team to ensure the Dean is fully prepared for qualifying visits, cultivation of prospects and prospect solicitation to secure the highest level of commitment and stewarding of donors.
Administrative: Provides high level administrative support to ensure the campaign and major gifts programs function effectively and efficiently. This position manages the logistics of department projects and report creation; recommends changes to enhance innovation, objectives & goals; is responsible for drafting weekly Dean campaign and 5 to Drive top prospect reports.
Collaboration: Involves high level of collaboration with internal department partners and moderate level of collaboration with University partners to identify & integrate resources to accomplish strategic goals & objectives including Dean’s Office, President’s Office, corporate partners and central development office. Manages and oversees the delivery of all briefing documents to the Dean for upcoming trips, events and meetings.
Research: Gathers, records and retrieves information about prospects and donors utilizing the University's donor and alumni tracking database, Internet, meetings with development staff and faculty to provide briefings on prospects. Drafts and prepares event briefings and highly-detailed itineraries for travel in the service of the campaign
Support: Administers & maintains existing strategic plans. Prepares contact reports on meetings and interactions with alumni. Tracks Dean “touches” for performance metrics. Responsible for entering and maintaining data in CATracks at the proposal level. Manages timeline for document approval. Recommends changes to enhance innovation, objectives & goals.
Manages and facilitates confidential and critical information.
Responds to unanticipated and complex issues.
Performs other duties as assigned.
May supervise student workers and/or support staff.
Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor’s or higher degree; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.
2+ years in a related setting, preferably in an educational setting.
Minimum Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities.)
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and cooperatively with other staff and volunteers.
Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
Advanced knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, email and database software programs.
