We are seeking a Writer for our Patient and Caregiver Engagement team .
You will: Be responsible for writing original content and editing and evaluating existing content intended to inform and support MSK patients and their caregivers across the continuum of care. Use a range of communications strategies and approaches, including digital, print, social, video, and other creative communications tools and techniques, the Writer will ensure messages reach patients and caregivers of diverse backgrounds by employing best practices related to health literacy and plain language. Work collaboratively with staff within Patient and Caregiver Engagement, clinical and nonclinical departments across MSK, and external vendors. Participate and/or manage projects related to the mission of the department and be responsible for the maintenance of the departmental style guide.

You need: A Bachelors degree in Health communications, writing, marketing. In lieu of a bachelors degree, four years of job-related work experience can be accepted. 2-4 years of experience (6 years without Bachelor's degree) editing, writing content, conducting background research. Advanced experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Proven advanced written communication skills Strong verbal communication and listening skills Excellent organizational skills Possess a high degree of initiative Demonstrate a high commitment to quality Proven time management and priority setting skills
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9 am - 5 pm
Note - This position will provide the opportunity to telecommute 2-3 days/week.
