The University of Chicago Medicine, Department of Pharmacy Informatics seeks exceptionally well-qualified candidates for our one-year specialty residency in pharmacy informatics. This residency provides independent practice development in a number of core inpatient and outpatient care settings at and advanced academic medical center. Core areas of instruction include pharmacy automation, clinical informatics, medication safety, oncology and research informatics, operating and procedural informatics, training in human factors engineering and advanced models of analytics including different forms of AI in use at the university today. Residents have opportunities to present formal lectures at affiliated schools of pharmacy and may serve as preceptor for pharmacy students. Completion of a formal research project is required. Residents practice patient centered care, didactic teaching, research methodology, project management and clinical/operational leadership.
Doctor of Pharmacy degree and completion of a ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency, eligibility for Illinois licensure and completed application via PhORCAS.
