About out patient safety department:
The Director of Patient Safety is a pediatric clinically trained pharmacist with experience as the Director of Pharmacy and as a Medication Safety Specialist
Two medication safety specialist pharmacists
Multidisciplinary group of safety experts with backgrounds and expertise including nursing, clinical pharmacy, engineering, human factors, public health, project management, process improvement, and more.
Holistic and targeted approaches to improving the safety of our patients and team members.
Leads the hospital’s Target Zero initiative, striving for zero patient harm
Collaborates nationally with more than 100 children’s hospitals across the country to share data and learn best practices.
Collaborates internally with many departments and units to consult on patient safety related work.
Works closely with our pharmacy department, which has clinical pharmacy services for over 20 pediatric specialties and over 30 residency-trained preceptors.
PGY1 residency
*Pediatric experience is not required.
