For Drug Product Services (DPS), our successful Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) branch, located in Basel, Switzerland and Stein, Switzerland, we have exciting opportunities. Lead drug product process development activities related to drug product process development, characterization, and validation of customer projects
Advance setup, scale-up and implementation of technical DP manufacturing processes
Provide technical on-site support during batch manufacturing. Define and monitor project scope, timing and progress
Responsible for design, execution and delivery of process evaluation studies for liquid and lyophilized parenteral drug products of biologics (e.g. monoclonal antibodies, novel formats, ADCs, peptides), peptides and small molecules
Take care of process implementation and technical transfer documentation
Drive GMP change management strategy of the assigned technical transfer projects
Initiate and manage GMP change control in system
Support critical GMP product/process deviation(s) and corresponding implementation of identified corrective/preventive actions (CAPAs)
Manage and lead group of technicians and/or engineers and/or scientists or formally coaches and mentors other team members
Ensure effective use of resources (time, personnel, equipment, material) as well as support maintenance of equipment as appropriate
Assist continuous processs and quality improvements, explore new technologies and lead integration of activities across scientific areas
Enable innovation and technical strategy projects, generate IP and contribute to scientific publications and conference talks, and evaluate and implement of new methods and technologies
PhD. or Master in pharmaceutical sciences, pharmaceutical engineering, chemistry, biochemistry, or related fields or similar qualification
Significant experience in biotech / pharma industry
Experience of technical issues and requirements for drug product technical transfers
For process transfer, direct experience in Manufacturing in a GMP environment
Knowledge in aseptic product manufacture or process development for protein drug products desirable
Very good communication skills as well as fluent command of English both written and oral
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills; proven ability as team player and ability to manage cross functional teams
Good planning and organizing skills, including project management and risk management skills
