The EMEA Project Management Office Manager has functional responsibility for leading the Project Management Office (PMO) for the Systems & Solution Business in EMEA. Has indirect functional leadership responsibility for project managers within specific SSB EMEA vertical business structures. The role is responsible for driving business objectives, performing project reviews, continuous improvement and use of the Integrated Project Management (iPM) methodology for project execution within the project management functions.
Ensure all business units are applying consistent iPM methodologies, processes and tools to drive consistent project performance.
Ensure project portfolio risk and opportunity is identified, assessed, and managed appropriately
Ensure planning, executing, monitoring/controlling, forecasting, and reporting project outcomes is effective in achieving business objectives while meeting customer expectations.
Mentor and coach Project Managers to improve their performance
Set training objectives and facilitate training for the SSB EMEA Project Manager and Project Administrator community
Manage project review process including identification of target projects for reviews, identification and escalation of issues, and review of project risks and mitigation actions.
Business level reporting of Project Management performance.
Collaborate with the Quality organization to drive continuous improvement and address escalated project issues and concerns.
Evaluate, devise and assist in developing and implementing PMO strategy, objectives and activities through collaboration with other business functions to deliver regional performance objectives.
Drive continuous development of SSB EMEA PMO talent through professional certification, internal training and capability maturity assessments.
