Stanford Summer Session Summer Session is Stanford University's fourth academic quarter, offering more than 200 courses from 40 departments to over 2,500 graduate, undergraduate, and advanced high school students. Along with serving the needs of Stanford matriculated students, Summer Session makes it possible for visiting students to take advantage of the same courses, culture, and resources available at Stanford University. We also offer access programs for First Generation-Low Income students and Veterans. The mission of the Stanford Summer Session office is to offer a transformative educational experience to all students, both in the classroom and through an array of enrichment programs, community-building activities, academic support services, and more.
Summer Session is seeking a Project Management Specialist to drive completion of key milestones. From sequencing projects, to calculating time frames, to working to prevent bottlenecks, you'll ensure that processes run smoothly. Our program serves Stanford students and visiting students who come from all corners of the nation, and more than 60 countries around the world. From determining actionable steps and operational procedures, to supporting teammates with executional support, we're looking for someone who can envision and deliver strategies to meet our business and educational objectives. This is a 12-month fixed position.
Your responsibilities include:
Review existing projects and develop timelines and phases for project implementation.
Schedule, manage, and drive completion of key milestones in the student application process that help prevent bottlenecks.
Work with stakeholders to determine actionable items and operational procedures for new and existing projects, based on strategic vision from leadership, including customer campaigns, admission process flow, program materials, and website enhancements.
Review and select vendors for various projects, and provide documentation on the business needs for using such vendors. Negotiate, determine scope of work, and keep them on track to ensure timely completion as well as quality results.
Provide executional support on a variety of projects. For example, provide research support, communication, and follow-up as we seek new partnerships for our special programs.
Review and evaluate current cost and performance of various projects, determining ROI.
Organize documentation for each of our special programs, to ensure better post-summer assessment. Create systems for better managing and sharing survey results, feedback, communication, and data with Summer Session staff.
Contribute to change management. Create operational processes and presentations to show project phases and customer lifecycle. Document procedures to improve future workflow. Set up timelines for now and for future. This may include changes to tracking systems, as well as process.
To be successful in the position, you will bring:
Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience; or a combination of education and relevant experience.
Experience with project management and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Comfort with data.
Ability to drive cross-functional groups toward a common goal.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
In addition, preferred requirements include:
An understanding of customer conversion.
Previous experience working on digital marketing or digital products.
