ABOUT THE ROLE
The Host team is seeking an experienced Solutions Engineer professional to support Host's Director of Digital Solutions in deploying CBRE's proprietary employee workplace productivity app for our Enterprise Clients globally.
Digital Solutions is a critical part of Host as Digital Solutions Engineers are primary contact for accounts pre-sale and are responsible for the overall requirements, design, and documentation of the Host technical solution.
You are a Solution Engineer that will be responsible for supporting all technical aspects of selling our software and will work closely with the sales team to guide prospects to gain the technical win, contribute to solution design, build compelling software demonstrations, and assist in all technical aspects of the sale. You are passionate about the impact of integrated real estate technology and IoT on the occupant experience and have proven success in solutions engineering roles serving Fortune 500 clients in a fast paced, highly cross functional environment.
This role is an Individual Contributor and reports to the Director of Digital Solutions and Strategy.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Drive the technical evaluation and design for deploying Host with our customers:
Engage in a hands-on way with customers (large occupiers and landlords) and client-dedicated CBRE teams (Experience and Facilities management teams; Property Management teams) to gather and document technical requirements.
Directly support the Host Sales team to ensure an integrated approach to scoping and closing technology deals.
Facilitate technical sales workshops and conduct pilots at client sites.
Lead information security and data privacy reviews with customer compliance teams to allow for Host technology to integrate directly to customer enterprise systems of record.
Consult with clients and Host Engineering to capture requirements, understand expectations, and properly scope work required to execute custom functionality development.
Work cross-functionally with other parts of the Host team:
Work with the Director of Digital Solutions & Strategy to measure and report on key quarterly as well as annual metrics and objectives.
Collaborate directly with the Deployment team to ensure swift, accurate knowledge transfer along the path from sales to implementation.
Engage with the Host Engineering team to properly scope and estimate customer requests for system integration or other custom development.
Partner with the Host Product team to ensure custom integration and development requests are appropriately represented in the product roadmap.
Support CBRE Smart Buildings and IoT team as part of coordinated CBRE effort to serve customer needs for occupant experience and building operations.
5+ years of sales experience in a solutions engineering role supporting SaaS products with enterprise Fortune 500 customers.
Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent, professional training, and/or certifications.
Outstanding business consulting skills (forging relationships with senior-level stakeholders; understanding business goals, strategic plans, metrics, and challenges; collaborating on solutions).
Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
Personable and collaborative with a track record of working successfully across teams.
Sales enablement or sales technology experience is a plus.
Experience pairing with third party software and partners
Working knowledge of Internet hosted applications, highly available architectures, Internet security protocols, data privacy regulatory frameworks, and SSO/AD concepts
Advanced user of MS Office Suite, mobile devices, and browsers
Outstanding written and oral communication skills, including experience responding to RFIs/RFPs
Highly organized and driven by success, achievement, and recognition
Entrepreneurial spirit, intellectual curiosity, and persuasive confidence
High energy level and a "can do" attitude
Preference is for this position to either be based in our team's downtown Chicago office or our Dallas office.
Candidate must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time, including occasional international travel.
