KUNR Public Radio (KUNR-FM) in Reno, NV is seeking a Digital Services Coordinator to join our team and be the online voice of our organization. This position plays a critical role in the creation of digital content and the advancement of both KUNR’s and KNCJ’s digital initiatives on all platforms. The coordinator proactively develops and coordinates plans, messaging and assets for station marketing, promotion and fundraising. These include website and social media posts, graphic design, and mobile app updates. He/she would also work closely with the newsroom to create and share reporting content on our website and social media. The individual must show an ability to toggle seamlessly between creating digital content suited for news as well as marketing content.

The ideal candidate will have: Hustle, a team-oriented spirit, an entrepreneurial mindset, a bachelor’s degree from a regionally-accredited institution, at least two years of relevant experience (Digital services, marketing or graphic design), work samples reflecting excellent digital skills, and a solid understanding of (and palpable love for) social media content creation.

KUNR Public Radio serves Northern Nevada and the Eastern Sierra with local and national news, along with information and music programming. The station is known for its commitment to sound-rich feature reporting and providing in-depth interviews. We are located in Reno, Nevada on the University of Nevada, Reno campus, and we're part of the Reynolds School of Journalism.
Our newsroom is small, scrappy, and inclusive. We are passionate about training cub reporters through our paid college internship program and our youth media program for high school students.
KUNR produces English/Spanish bilingual digital content in partnership with Noticiero Móvil, a bilingual multimedia outlet. This innovative partnership has won two national Murrow awards, as well as an award from the Public Media Journalists Association.
We are looking to grow our digital presence and to create more multimedia content that expands beyond the radio.
