Faculty Position Information:Position Title:Lecturer - Business AdministrationAppointment Type:FacultyJob Description:Summary of Duties and Responsibilities: The College of Business at Iowa State University is accepting applications for a Lecturer to teach BUSAD 250 â Introduction to Business at the undergraduate level. The course introduces students to the different functional areas of business in an integrated fashion. Upon completion of the course, students should be able to: ⢠Explain how the functional areas of a business work together interdependently ⢠Understand how businessâ create value for customers and profits for business owners ⢠Use critical thinking and data driven analytical skills to solve business problems ⢠Make business decisions using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access ⢠Work effectively in teams ⢠Prepare and present an effective professional business presentation  The content of BUSAD 250 is standardized across all sections of the course and the successful candidate must be willing to teach the course in a coordinated fashion.  Applicants must be able to teach in day and evening sections and during the summer term. Applicants must have solid technological skills to support the use of online tools used in this course. Required Minimum Qualifications: MBA degree or Masterâs degree in accounting, finance, management, marketing, management information systems, supply chain management, or a related field Successful candidate(s) must meet the Collegeâs Faculty Qualification Standards for AACSB Accreditation. Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to those individuals who have: managerial experience; university level teaching experience; demonstrated interest and ability to conduct research that addresses business related problems and to publish the results in practitioner journals; or recent industry work experience.
