The Finance Programs and Governance Team has set and maintained a high standard of project management methodology within the Finance organization. The Project Lead's role will be to take full ownership of a project plan & manage the project's resources to accomplish the project completion on time & at the level of expected quality.
The Project Lead will direct the project team to follow the project methodology, ensuring proper project planning processes and governance, overseeing project reporting, and handling the escalation process.
The Project Lead will actively lead project management planning activities. They will on-board functional experts into project team roles as new projects are launched, ensuring a consistent project management approach. They will interact with Finance personnel across all segments and regions, as well as, with other departments within CBRE (e.g. Digital & Technology) and external vendors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Plans, initiates and supports the execution and delivery of projects while adhering to project management methodology
Manages project progress using the project plan, dashboard reporting, executive reporting, milestone tracking and risk logs within Smartsheet
Creates and manages project tasks, identifying interdependencies between project scope, timelines, deliverables and resources
Communicates to direct supervisor on interdependencies that are at risk and proactively identifies solutions
Coordinates with communications and change management team members to ensure proper plans are put in place to support their project needs
Consults with business partners to clarify and define complex project requirements, budgets and business cases to align with strategic objectives
Promotes transparency and collaboration across all stakeholders, departments and external vendors
Performs other duties as assigned
Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university in a business related field. Requires a minimum of six years related experience to include at least three years in a lead or supervisory capacity. Public accounting experience preferred.
Financial acumen and a strong understanding of financial systems, accounting systems and processes preferred
Ability to effectively and efficiently manage and prioritize tasks and time over multiple activities with competing priorities preferred
Critical thinking skills preferred
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
CPA or MBA (graduate degree) preferred, but not required (depending on experience).
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. Ability to effectively interact with management, employees, auditors, etc. and respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to accurately explain/report activity in verbal and written communications. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and work collaboratively with business partners, key employees, top management, and client groups on various projects. Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to forecast and prepare budgets. This position conducts complex financial/business analysis, including the preparation of complex reports. Broad, in-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), concepts. SEC reporting experience desired (depending on the specific finance role).
Financial acumen and a strong understanding of financial systems, accounting systems and processes (Procure to Pay, Order to Cash & Record to Report) preferred
Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment. Ability to problem-solve, both independently and working as a team. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Strong computer skills, including specific knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.). Broad experience with other software and financial systems is desired (particularly HFM Consolidation, PeopleSoft Financials and Cognos Planning). Knowledge of real estate service industry and terminology is helpful. Ability to plan and manage multiple projects and work streams. Strong work ethic and adaptable.
Advanced Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Visio preferred
Ability to maintain central cloud-based project documentation repositories (e.g. Box, SharePoint) preferred
