The Application Management team develops scalable operating procedures, conducts technical evaluations, assesses feasibility and compatibility with supported systems, and develops technical roadmaps. As a Technical Project Manager, you will provide project management services for small and medium application architecture and hosting efforts that span the university. You will manage projects from original concept through final implementation, integrating structured project management methodology. We are looking for someone who is accountable for project planning, scheduling, budget and risk assessment throughout the project, as well as someone who facilitates communications with project teams, sponsors, university constituents and vendors.
BS in information systems or equivalent
3-5 years IT Project Management Experience, PMP certification highly desirable
Prepares project plans, which include definition scope, resources, roles, and schedule.
Establishes priorities and revises priorities and plans as appropriate in order to achieve project objectives and on time delivery.
Identifies and handles project risks, contingencies, and mitigation plans.
Ensures adequate communication is maintained regarding all project status, budgets, and priorities.
Establish and maintain positive customer relationships; remains open, transparent, and responsive in all situational contexts
Meets deadlines while balancing multiple simultaneous projects and frequently shifting priorities and tasks
Ability to work well with others and individually
Strong organization, planning, and communication skills
