The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Computer Science in the Tagliatela College of Engineering at the University of New Haven invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor position in cybersecurity with emphasis on Cyber Operations. The expected
start date is August 20, 2019.
Responsibilities: Teach NSA Cyber Operations mapped courses (reverse engineering, ethical hacking, assembly and network security are highly desirable) in cybersecurity and digital forensics and some core areas of computer science. Develop a research program that complements existing
activities in the department and college in cybersecurity, networking or other relevant areas, while
engaging graduate and undergraduate students. Lead our highly recognized student hacking club with national and international wins, and mentor students to become a leading team in cyber collegiate competitions. Opportunities for research collaboration exist within the college and across the university. Existing faculty already have funded projects from NSA, NSF, DHS and existing collaborations with the MITRE Corp. Scholarly publications and grant writing to establish funded research is expected. Service at the program, profession, departmental, college and university levels on various working groups and committees is also expected. Other duties may

Preference will be given to candidates with research interests in offensive cybersecurity, defensive cybersecurity, digital forensics, network security, cloud security, and malware analysis.

Authorization to work in the U.S.
A Ph.D. in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or closely related fields with emphasis on cybersecurity from an accredited institution is required at the start of employment.
