Job Summary Salary Range : 6,608.33 to $14,808.33 Salary Frequency : MonthlyAppointment Type : CareerPercentage of Time : 100%Shift Hour : 08 hoursLocation : Sherman Way BuildingCity : SacramentoUnion Representation : NoBenefits Eligible : Yes We offer exceptional employment benefits including medical, dental, and vision plans, generous paid vacations and holidays, excellent retirement savings and investment plans, continuing education, and reduced fee and scholarship programs THIS IS NOT AN H1- B OPPORTUNITY The Senior Privacy and Compliance Investigator (Privacy and Compliance Professional 4) is responsible for overseeing, implementing and performing all Privacy and Compliance investigations charged by the Chief Compliance and/or Privacy Officers in fulfillment of UCDHS obligations under University policy to fully and fairly review allegations of improper activities. Manages highly complex investigations impacting UCDHS that involve multiple regulatory components related to privacy breaches, fraud and abuse, drug diversion, improper business activities, billing irregularities, and health care compliance. This position will also singularly manage and oversee the UCDH Surveillance Program. In addition, assists other UCDH and campus authorities in completing investigations and providing training and consultative support to other campus investigators. Assignments are of substantial complexity, often focusing on issues that involve multiple policy areas.
Bachelor Degree in Public Health, Public Policy, Law, Health Care or related field and/or equivalent education, training, experience
Experience performing investigations, preferably in a Healthcare environment
Proven project management skills and experience managing multiple projects in a highly regulatory environment
Knowledge of Federal and State privacy regulations
Knowledge of health care law and state and federal billing regulations
Strong communication skills
Juris Doctorate or Masters in Public Health, Privacy or a related field
Certification in Health Care Compliance (CHC) or Certification in Healthcare Privacy Certification (CHPC)
