Position Summary: Uses acquired skills as a technical project management professional with an understanding of energy and sustainability practices and policies and procedures. Exercises judgment within defined guidelines and practices. Is assigned to projects of moderate scope, size, impact, budget and / or project team size.
The main purpose of the position is to assist the University of California Office of the President in securing long-term supplies of biogas and management of the same transaction(s), all in support of University of California's Carbon Neutrality Initiative. Securing biogas supply means procurement/sourcing of biogas under term supply arrangements and includes the possibility of development of a biogas processing facility. The position resides in the Energy and Sustainability team and reports to the Executive Director ? Renewable Energy Programs.

Applies professional project management concepts to implement the Request for Information (RFI) / Request for Proposal (RFP) process for projects of moderate scope and complexity. Involves strategic origination and implementation of biogas procurement, as well as efficient utilization and management of such arrangement of biogas supply, all to mitigate large portions of UC's carbon footprint.
Job Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training. Required
Knowledge/Skills: Highly developed communication, organization and project management skills.
Demonstrated ability to independently gather, organize, and perform financial analysis assignments.
Must be proficient in use of Microsoft Office and common desktop/web applications.
Must have ability to review/create transaction models and work with such models.
Ability to present information in a clear and concise manner both in writing and verbally.
Ability to read, comprehend, contract documents and related agreement. Required
Knowledge of energy and/or renewable-energy markets and sustainability initiatives and trends.
Previous biogas and/or natural gas industry experience.
Self-driven and mission oriented approach.
Interest in sustainability and carbon neutrality. Preferred
