The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is recruiting for a 50%-100% appointment, board certified or board eligible general pediatrician at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in our Clinician-Teacher (CT) track to provide float support in our Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine. We are a strong division of 40 general pediatricians working across 7 ambulatory clinical sites. Duties include providing clinical care to pediatric patients in various PCP offices. Teaching to a variety of learners is expected and will largely occur within the delivery of clinical care.
The 111-bed American Family Children’s Hospital opened in August 2007 and is the only facility in Madison exclusively devoted to the care and treatment of children. In addition to serving the local community, it receives tertiary and quaternary referrals from throughout the state and region and is staffed by pediatricians and surgeons from every subspecialty practice. The Department of Pediatrics has 183 faculty and continues to grow.

Requirements for this position are: MD or equivalent; completion of pediatric residency; board certified or board eligible in pediatrics; and Wisconsin medical licensure. Candidates for appointment at the Associate Professor rank on the CT track must meet criteria for appointment at rank per UW School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for appointment and promotion on their designated track.
