Provide scientific and operational coordination of a NIH contract over a period of 5 years. Responsible for both scientific related tasks as well as operational/ administrative related responsibilities.
Manage and monitor NIH task orders and project deliverables and timelines.
Provide guidance and hands-on assistance on new test development.
Prepare study reports and presentation materials and other related SOPs as needed
Partner with management to plan studies and ensure that staff adheres to schedules and timelines.
Participate in weekly calls and face to face meetings with PIs and NIH regarding status of Task Order and deliverables.
Develop plans for backup and succession of personnel on the project.
Track the level of effort (labor) and material expenditures and work with Finance team to prepare monthly invoices.
MS or PhD degree in behavioral neuroscience, pharmacology or related discipline.
7+ years of related preclinical behavioral neuroscience experience in a scientific project management role.
Experience in Pain research strongly preferred as well as surgical experience.
Ability to simultaneously manage multiple responsibilities and priorities.
Computer proficiency in MS Office required.
Excellent verbal and written communication and organization skills.
Demonstrated independent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of regulations.
Ability to interact appropriately with all levels of employees and work effectively as a member of a team.
