Position Summary: Directs the activity for real-estate management, facility space management and pre-construction project coordination. Responsible for the management of DHMC facilities, leased space, and real estate holdings. Assists with all aspects of facilities management, DHMC Condominium management, and facilities planning. Works with operational leadership in the medical center on facilities planning, development, and space allocation.
Assists with the management, planning, and development of DHMC facilities including off-site leased and owned properties.
Coordinates facilities improvement projects working with operational leadership, architects, consulting engineers and legal counsel.
Acts as liaison between facilities and construction management, and medical center administrative departments and sections in the planning, design, construction and renovation of new and existing facilities.
Works with others to manage facilities and occupancy of off-site owned and leased properties and DHMC commercial space.
Works with operational leadership and space planning committees in the management and allocation of office and clinical space.
Manages, schedules, and coordinates the relocation of departments and sections.
Acts as a representative on the DHMC Condominium Owners Association and assists in the management of facilities, building infrastructure, and common areas, including operational issues, cost allocation, budgeting, and parking.
Serves as a representative on the DHMC Environmental of Care Committees, Parking Committee, and other committees.
Assists with operations and capital budget planning for facilities and equipment and ambulatory care operations.
Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in architecture or project management with 10 years of experience with real estate / space management experience required.
Healthcare experience preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Strengths are required in coordination, collaboration, organization and negotiation skills.
