The Director of Marketing will lead the development, implementation, tracking and optimization of digital marketing campaigns across all digital channels to drive key revenue and value-generating RIMS initiatives. Utilizing key marketing performance metrics and tracking tools, this role will provide market research, forecasts, competitive analyses, campaign results, and consumer trends in order to translate results into actionable insights for marketing team.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Collaborate with team to plan, create and implement marketing campaigns to support organization’s domestic and global strategies, including web, SEO/SEM, email, social media and display advertising.
Lead the measurement and reporting of product performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).
Evaluate emerging technologies. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate.
Collaborate with internal teams to create relevant and dynamic landing pages and optimize user experience.
Utilize analytics to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points
Oversee the social media presence across all digital channels.
Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights. Create short-term and long-term scheduling, budget and resource needs, including the development and management of an annual marketing budget, profit/loss projections, expenditure spending, and other financial considerations.
Oversee the planning, executing and measuring experiments and conversion tests
Lead the development and timely implementation of all print and digital marketing collateral. Manage promotional schedules and reporting; review and edit promotional material for effectiveness, cross-selling implications and adherence to brand guidelines.
Collaborate with staff to provide necessary support for the development and implementation of marketing plans/campaigns to increase the number of professional members that attend RIMS events each year.
Lead marketing team in the executing of programs to drive awareness, engagement, and brand relevance on multiple platforms.
Create brand awareness in new global markets: i.e. Mainland China, Hong Kong, ASEAN and India.
Oversee administration and use of the RIMS brand, logo and all creative efforts.
Manage RIMS presence, branding, messaging and promotions at RIMS Annual Conference, including staffing, content, budgeting logistics, and promotional items for RIMS HQ Booth Oversee administration and use of the RIMS brand, logo and all creative efforts.
Drive RIMS presence/awareness efforts at trade shows, advertising, vendor platforms and other external promotional opportunities.
Lead, develop and motivate team across multiple disciplines to stretch and exceed organizational objectives and revenue goals. Develop objectives and metrics to hold staff accountable to obtain those goals.
Manage relationship with Advisen to execute annual Benchmark Survey, promote book availability and survey participation, develop RIMS advertising opportunities and distribute final product
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field preferred.
Minimum 7 years’ experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns.
Strong grasp of current marketing tools and strategies and be able to lead integrated digital marketing campaigns from concept to execution.
Experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team of 4 or more staff members.
Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels.
Exceptional knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Net Insight, Omniture, Web Trends).
Working knowledge in setting up and optimizing Google AdWords campaigns.
Up-to-date with all marketing requirements, latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement.
Proficient with MS Suite, databases and spreadsheets.
Experience across all Social Media platforms.
Strong leadership skills; ability to develop effective relationships and operate with both internal and external clients.
Proven ability to understand, track, analyze and leverage customer and marketplace insights into building effective marketing strategies and business plans.
Ability to use analytical skills and critical thinking to diagnosis business issues and incorporate into development or adjustment of marketing plans to achieve business results in a self-directed manner.
