The Human Resources (HR) Generalist III, under general supervision, is responsible for developing and establishing effective recruitment strategies for full-cycle recruitment. This would include identifying business needs by working closely with departments and hiring managers, sourcing and screening candidates, and providing strong strategic consulting and guidance to departments on business processes, recruitment, and compliance. Collaborate with department leaders to assist with programs, services, and solutions specifically for recruiting, staffing and hiring, and onboarding top talent.
Develops a comprehensive recruiting program with a suite of HR services for executive, faculty, research and staff positions.
Use traditional and nontraditional resources, to attract and identify diverse qualified talent.
Build collaborative relationships with internal and external clients to ensure achievement of staffing goals.
Partners with internal clients to understand their workforce needs and priorities to create an aligned talent acquisition strategy and implement best practices for sourcing and hiring candidates.
Oversees full life cycle recruitment through networking, sourcing, pre-screening, preliminary interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
Foster and promote a positive candidate experience by leading a high-quality recruitment, feedback and communication process. Develops recruiting and sourcing strategies to generate candidate flow of top talent.
Reviews position requests, writes job advertisements and posts job vacancies for faculty and staff positions in the required HRIS and Applicant Tracking System.
Coordinates and works collaboratively with the hiring department and the Office of Equal Opportunity and Diversity.
Track vacancies and hires to ensure candidates are hired timely.
Complies and reviews raw data for the development of key HR metrics such as time to fill, essential hiring data, onboarding status and others on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and/or on as-needed basis.
Monitors job postings within the Applicant Tracking System to process selected candidates for employment and ensure candidates meet minimum qualifications for positions.
Works with hiring managers to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations, including affirmative action plan compliance.
Extends job offers, and participates in new employee onboarding.
Creates offer letters and assists in ensuring appropriate compensation per the System-Wide Pay Plan.
Processes staffing actions.
Assists with developing and maintaining standard operating procedures, hiring and onboarding guidelines, web content, instructions, tutorials and other communications on recruiting, hiring, and best practices.
Assists with the development/revision of online resources.
Conducts training and presentations for departmental managers and staff.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Two years of related experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications
Knowledge of HR principles. Knowledge of FMLA, Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, analytical, and interpersonal, skills.
