The University of Kentucky is seeking a creative and analytical individual with digital marketing experience to join its web communications team. This position will execute content strategy and management for the university’s high profile web properties, as well as provide training and consultation to college and departmental web communications staff. They will collaborate with other teams in University Relations to produce impactful digital experiences for a variety of audiences.
The Web Content Specialist will play an important role in the success and adoption of the university’s web platform through training and content strategy consultation. They will be a brand advocate for site development throughout uky.edu, and represent the needs of users during web product development and web governance processes.
The ideal candidate will have an interest in developing and implementing clear web content strategy, proven written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to develop, improve, and implement best practices and procedures. They will be eager to develop experience as an internal advocate for the university brand. They should feel comfortable developing their skill as a Drupal CMS power user. The successful candidate will enjoy collaborating with a variety of university constituents and stakeholders, from non-technical departmental content creators to c-tier campus leadership. Although this position is part of a collaborative team, they will also be capable of managing daily tasks and large projects on schedule.
