Salary Range: Dependent on Qualifications/Experience
The UNC Center for AIDS Research is one of 19 CFARs in the country, and is a consortium of three complementary institutions: UNC-Chapel Hill, RTI International, and FHI 360. Through core facilities that provide expertise, resources, and services, the UNCCFAR offers research support to domestic and international HIV research investigators. The CFAR emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration, and mentorship of young investigators. The Social and Behavioral Sciences Research Core of the UNCCFAR promotes and stimulates new research and supports ongoing collaborative HIV-related social and behavioral research. The individual in this position will work closely with the Director and Co-Director of the Social and Behavioral Sciences Research Core to cultivate and maintain good working relationships with investigators and project staff at UNC as well as staff at other universities, hospitals, and research firms. He/she will work with the Core Director to design and implement all Core activities and will be responsible for management of the day-to-day activities of the Core.
Education and Experience:
Successful candidates will ideally have experience working in HIV/AIDS research, and experience supervising staff and managing complex projects. Experience managing and/or coordinating major research projects, managing budgets, developing and implementing strategic plans, and working in CFARs and with CFAR investigators is preferred.
