Front Office Coordinator, Office of the President - Georgetown University Main Campus
The Office of the President coordinates with key internal and external stakeholders to advance the work of University President John J. DeGioia.
The Office of the President staff execute a variety of duties for the President, to include day-to-day operational support; strategic project management, communications, and stakeholder engagement; and special projects. Staff routinely interact with students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents, and visitors to the University. Working in a fast-paced, public-facing setting, the Front Office Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for the Office of the President, and plays a key role in the daily operational support of the President's Office. The Front Office Coordinator is responsible for providing a gracious and welcoming presence to members of the Georgetown community, campus visitors and all guests of the President and his staff, answering and directing calls from the President's Office phone lines, and sharing messages with the President's office staff.
The Front Office Coordinator also serves as the office manager, working closely with the entire President's office staff to provide important administrative support including but not limited to overseeing the ordering of office and kitchen supplies, managing room reservations, and assisting with office space needs. The Front Office Coordinator will report directly to the Assistant to the President for Administration and Special Programs. Common duties include, but are not limited to:
Coordinating catering orders for meetings hosted by the President and other members of the President's Office staff.
Ad Hoc help on seasonal projects.
Meeting and conference room setup and break down (to include setup and breakdown of audiovisual equipment as needed).
Supplies orders such as office supplies, kitchen supplies, and flowers.
Submitting and tracing work orders (maintenance requests, new key requests, phone setup requests, etc.)
Organizing and managing distribution of office keys.
Additional duties as assigned.
bachelor's degree in any field
Superior judgment, organization, and communication skills.
Positive, professional attitude toward all guests and vendors.
Commitment to independent problem solving.
Comfort with the Microsoft Office and Google suites.
Comfort using common office A/V tools such as laptops and small projectors.
At least 2 years of administrative experience in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
