Residents are provided an exceptional opportunity to attain high level practical training in various clinical practice areas, with emphasis on inpatient and ambulatory services. Existing inpatient clinical experiences include Internal Medicine, Critical Care, and Hematology/Oncology. Likewise, existing Ambulatory Care experiences include Diabetes Management Clinic, Anticoagulation Clinic, HIV Specialty Clinic, and Internal Medicine Continuity Clinic. Accompanying longitudinal experiences include Clinical Pharmacy Administration, Pharmacy Practice Management, Project Management, and various hospital committee involvements. Teaching opportunities are provided through collaborations with the Howard University College of Pharmacy and the Washington Metropolitan Society of Health-System Pharmacists (WMSHP) Teaching Certificate Program.
