Manage the day-to-day activities of the Applications Department responsibilities…Pyramid Consulting Group has a Pittsburgh client with an immediate need for an experienced APPLICATIONS MANAGER with expertise in ERP Software management.
* Directs development teams in the areas of scheduling, technical direction, future planning and standard development practices; * Actively participate in personnel development and ensure adequate training for personnel; * Ensure project tasks are being completed on time and meet the expected quality standards; * Establish best-practices for planning, managing, implementing, and support for automated systems; * Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies; * Apply appropriate risk management techniques to ensure product, project and processes are developed in a timely manner and meet quality objectives.
The client is looking for the following experience and background:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field; Business; Life Sciences or consummate experience to provide a comparable background; * At least 7 or more years of related experience in System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) preferred
* Able to work well with, and understand the needs of, end users, system owners, managers, quality and software developers; * Knowledge of the investigation, evaluation, interpretation, and classification of business data;
* Ability to collect, identify, analyze and interpret business data using various kinds of techniques to meet business needs and requirements; * Expert-level knowledge of the principles, theories, practices and techniques for managing the activities related to implementing systems and application development projects and programs; * Knowledge of data integrity concerns and regulations; * Knowledge of 21 CFR part 11 and related guidance is a plus; * Experience working in a highly regulated environment (Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices, Financial) is a plus; * Experience working with ISPE GAMP 5 and GxP preferred; * Experience working with LabWare, MasterControl, Sage X3 ERP is a plus.
