The Center for Corporate Citizenship at Boston College is a membership based research organization based in the Carroll School of Management. The Center provides comprehensive resources and education programs on all dimensions of corporate citizenship to more than 400 corporate members. We seek an enthusiastic and talented individual who has passion for and experience with teaching and training. This is a full-time position for an individual who is highly organized, focused, and has outstanding presentation skills. The purpose of the Center's education program is to provide corporate learners with skills and information that will allow them to advance corporate citizenship in their companies and prepare them for leadership and promotion. The Director of Executive Education and Advisory Products oversees and contributes to development of live, print, and web based training to support the educational needs of our members using sound educational methods that develop knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis, synthesis and evaluation skill sets among all the groups we serve. Direct engagement in custom education courses and advisory projects will be required of this role. Participation in program delivery is expected so that the quality and professional proficiencies that should be addressed through the curriculum can be assessed and improved continually. The Director oversees the architecture and development of the Center's curriculum as well as knowledge assets such as issue advisories or practice updates. The successful candidate will possess the following characteristics: * Knowledge of the field of corporate citizenship and corporate social responsibility * Strong selling, communication and platform skills. Excellent oral and written communications skills; presentation and group facilitation skills * Experience in creating and delivering executive development and training programs for a national and international audience. * Management experience-including the ability to recruit, manage and develop a diverse roster of instructors engaged on a contract basis * Experience with distance and/or web based learning * International experience and experience managing in culturally diverse settings * Ability to travel * Must be a detail-oriented, self-motivated team player with the ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously within tight deadline constraints. * Adaptable self-starter with strong project management skills. * Knowledge of how adults acquire and use information and skills, and of training techniques suitable for different learning styles; able to implement this knowledge in a fully virtual environment via organizations selected web-based platforms. * Skilled in the use of audio-visual equipment and personal computers, including presentation software. Comfortable utilizing both PCs and Macs for content development. * Intellectually curious quick learner who is able to self-train and pick up new skills and topics quickly. * Skilled in systematically determining training needs, including identifying the components of performance and developing strategies for achieving performance improvement. * Skilled in research, observation, coaching and providing feedback to employees and executives.
Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $113,050 to $141,300; salary commensurate with relevant experience.
* A minimum of 7 years successful experience in creating and delivering executive education programs for a national and international business audience.
* A minimum of 5 years successful experience directing and managing a professional staff
* Proven track record of creating, building and managing programs for professional adult audiences
* Business experience with Fortune 1000 clientele
* Global experience in development, education or business
* Extensive travel required
* Frequent evenings and weekends
