It is expected that the Research Project Manager will implement and oversee the daily operations of conducting clinical research trials in the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. They will be responsible for the day to day management of complex projects conducted with collaborators both internal and external to Penn. The incumbent will provide support to the research coordination staff in the Division, and will assist in the coordination of all projects. The Research Project Manager will work closely with the research staff, investigators, and the clinical staff to integrate research activities into the clinical flow. She/he will also assist in writing grants, and in the development of protocols, case report forms, and other study materials, and will ensure they are submitted and approved by regulatory bodies as required.Â He/She will help develop the team's research strategy and will have ample opportunities to lead projects. Additionally, the Project Manager will assist investigators and research staff within the WHCRC on management of IRB submissions, and quality assurance activities.

Overseeing daily research operations in the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology

Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Assisting with planning, development and implementation of investigator-initiated research (faculty, fellows, residents)
Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Act as back-up coordinator for studies in REI, conducting clinical trials in accordance with GCP
Regulatory assistance for the Womenâ™s Health Clinical Research Center
Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Conduct regular quality assurance activities across all Ob/Gyn divisions
Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Prepare submissions of all types to the IRB, including reliance agreements for the use of Central IRBs
Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Serve as IRB liaison for any multi-center project using Penn as the IRB of record.
This position is contingent on funding.
Qualifications Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to work independently and also as part of a team. Strong planning and organizational capabilities along with problem solving skills desired. Must be able to work flexible hours. Must be able to communicate comfortably and effectively with regulatory authorities/sponsors/investigators.
