Drew University is seeking an Administrative Assistant in the University Advancement Department. Reporting to the AVP for University Advancement, the Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support for the various units of the University Advancement office including but not limited to: processing purchase orders and payments; electronic filing; office supply management, data entry; answering phones and email follow-up, event staffing; and other administrative tasks as needed.
ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT: Handle telephone inquiries. Maintain inventory of office supplies. Provide assistance with copying, electronic filing, entering contact reports, data entry, and other administrative duties as requested.
EVENT SUPPORT: Provide significant event support including but limited to handling RSVPS, making name tags, creating and logging event surveys, and staffing events.
FINANCE: Assist with preparing invoices for payment, purchase orders, check requests, travel card/purchase card reconciliations; audit reports and journal vouchers; maintain electronic and hard copy administrative records. Process purchase orders, consultant invoices, and check requests. Reconcile credit card expenses.
OTHER DUTIES: Perform other duties as assigned by the AVP for University Advancement
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
2-5 years of experience in providing administrative support
Experience in a fast-paced, detail-oriented office setting
Superb organization and project management skills
Must possess the ability to multi-task and a flexible attitude
Working knowledge of Google’s G Suite and Microsoft Office products, including Power Point
Ideal Education and Experience
Experience working in Higher Education
Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge and Banner with an ability to quickly gain proficiency in a new CRM
