Bronx Community College seeks an ASAP Recruitment Specialist. Reporting to the Director of Admissions and Enrollment, the Specialist is responsible for a recruitment territory and represents the College at external and on-campus events to inform prospective students and families, guidance counselors, and other officials about the CUNY Accelerated Studies in Associate Programs (ASAP) and about general admission standards, policies, campus life and other supportive programs provided by BCC and the ASAP Program.
Additional duties include:
Assists with the planning and implementation of all on-campus, off-campus, and online recruitment and marketing initiatives including workshops, information sessions, new student orientations and tours pertaining to the ASAP program and new student enrollment.
Performs a wide variety of admissions related activities to attract students to BCC and determines their admissibility to the college and to the ASAP Program.
Provides pre-enrollment advising to students for all of the college's areas of study.
Serves as a liaison to the ASAP unit and other college programs and offices such as Academic Success Center, Student Life, Registrar, and Financial Aid.
Prepares, maintains, and updates complex data management systems to analyze and interpret data to support the enrollment processes.
Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in an appropriate discipline and four years' related experience.
The preferred candidate will have:
Strong understanding of the needs and challenges facing students from diverse urban backgrounds
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, within the department and with faculty and other administrators
Strong organization, project management, communication, and facilitation skills
Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records of student activities
Computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office Suite, and aptitude to learn new systems as needed

Accelerated Study in Associate Programs (ASAP) helps students earn their college degree as quickly as possible, by removing the financial, academic, and personal obstacles that many students confront. Key ASAP program features include a consolidated block schedule, cohorts by major, required full-time study and comprehensive advisement and career development services. The ASAP Recruitment Specialist is a member of an integrated college team and has the major responsibility to lead the program's recruitment efforts.
Organize pre-admission advisement and cohort recruitment for all ASAP applicants
Lead ASAP recruitment activities
Develop and conduct information sessions and intake appointments with prospective students
Conduct site visits to area high schools and GED programs
Present on ASAP at external college access events and conferences
Cultivate and manage relationships with CUNY pre-matriculation programs
Oversee ASAP student leaders and their integration into recruitment activities
Perform related duties as assigned

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
$47,340 - $81,855; Salary commensurate with education and experience.
