PAID INTERNSHIP - Institute for Baseball Studies WHITTIER COLLEGE
Description Gain experiential learning in cataloguing the library of the Institute for Baseball Studies at Whittier College. The intern will lead the project of identifying and recording Library of Congress classifications and notations to establish an on-line catalogue of the holdings in the Institute's collection.
The intern will also work with a student intern and volunteer staff in the Institute, familiarizing them with the process of identifying and recording Library of Congress classifications and notations. Activities may include:
Inventory and organization projects
Digitization of collections
Arrangement and description of materials
Currently enrolled in an accredited M.M.L.I.S program.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, able to work independently and with an undergraduate intern
Familiarity with scanning equipment and software
Ability to work in a Windows environment; proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
