The Project Manager for the Facilities Planning Department will be responsible for providing project planning and implementation services working directly with the Associate Director for Facilities Planning. The ideal candidate must be professional, organized and possess a strong attention to detail. The ideal candidate must have the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently. Expertise in Microsoft Office is a must, with an emphasis on Outlook, Word and Excel. Experience with Project Management Software a plus. Must possess the ability to work independently, as well as in a group, and be a self-starter with minimal instruction and oversight.
Duties of a Facilities Planning Project Manager may include the following but are not limited to:
Responsible for assisting in the evaluation of requests for space in the Hospital and investigating and making recommendations for approval, modification, or denial. Provides space inventory documentation, ensuring its completeness and that the data has the appropriate details that allow for the development of broad analysis of space use and allocation.
Meets with end users, develops scope of work for review by Associate Director, coordinates work with project managers, facilitates getting estimates for work, and assists with projects during implementation.
Using Project Mates software, manages project request web-based documentation of all projects, provides updates on project progress through completion of projects.
Ensures space changes are documented through ATG online space inventory program, hospital life safety plans and building signage when projects and moves are completed.
Provides weekly status reports, including, but not limited to, completed tasks, planned tasks, pending issues and proposed schedule for resolution and completion.
Develops and manages a project work plan on assigned Facilities Planning projects.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree. Minimum 3 years' experience in facilities planning and construction project management.
Preferred Qualifications : Experience in hospital facilities planning. Knowledge of NYSDOH, FGI, CMS, JCAHO and other regulatory processes. Experience using ProjectMates or other project management software.
