Job Description Summary
The Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) will support and participate in the study - Improving Self-Care of Heart Failure Caregivers, which is funded by the National Institute of Health (NIH) initiative under the auspices of the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing.
The Improving Self-Care of Heart Failure (HF) Caregivers study is a randomized controlled trial testing an intervention designed to provide support to informal caregivers of HF patients that will help them maintain their health and reduce risks of illness associated with the stress of being a caregiver. Our overriding goal is to improve the health status of the people of HF and their caregivers through the provision of patient-centered, geographically accessible and high-value services within their home and healthcare environment. CRCâ™s will contribute to this goal in important ways through the consistent application of the values of respect, confidentiality and the constant pursuit of excellence.
Under the general direction of the Project Manager, the CRC will plan, organize, and conduct all activities and systems necessary to ensure the timely and accurate performance and reporting necessary for implementation of the project. The primary function of this position is to engage with eligible caregivers and patients to enroll them in the study and coordinate activities to collect baseline, 3, 6, 9 and 12 month follow-up surveys with enrolled participants.
Qualifications Bachelor's Degree with 1-2 years of related experience in research and clinical study methodologies or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
