The Senior Development Coordinator manages fundraising programs with CEDA’s individual prospects and donors. S/he will serve as fundraiser for mass-mid, overall portfolio support for the Development team. Additionally, the Senior Development Coordinator manages day-to-day operations.
Donor Relations & Engagement, Prospecting and Fundraising
Responsible for managing and maintaining donors’ annual giving cycles at the $9,999 level or below.
Steward CEDA Facebook Campaigns, monthly giving, employee giving, and tribute fundraising programs, while developing strategic plans to grow each program.
Conduct prospect research, identifying mass and mid-level donors for increased giving prospects, and coordinate strategic cultivation opportunities and solicitations.
Assist with project management and execution for fundraising initiatives, including but not limited to seasonal appeals and special events.
Act as a key donor relations representative to ensure constituent needs are met within an acceptable timeframe.
Partner with the Chief Development Officer and Chief Executive Officer to manage extensive
portfolio of Major donors.
Nonprofit experience required.
Dedication to supporting our local communities and enthusiasm for nonprofit fundraising and willingness to proactively seek best practices and new ideas.
Organization, attention to detail, ability to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
High level of computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and Constituent Relationship Management databases (Raiser’s Edge preferred).
Excellent personable, customer-oriented; ease with working with others and with delegating.
Strong writing, analytical, and research skills, with the ability to draw useful conclusions from data sets.
Must work well under pressure and with changing priorities.
Confidentiality with sensitive information.
Preferred Knowledge & Skills
Experience in one or more of the following areas preferred: Constituent Relationship Management databases management, fundraising, portfolio management, event planning, project management.
Gift processing and fundraising campaign management
Understanding and enthusiasm for CEDA’s vision and willingness to advocate its mission.
Understanding of challenges facing populations with low incomes or willingness to learn.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience.
3 or more years of nonprofit experience highly preferred.
