Partnership takes many forms: coaching, training and educating, and coalition building, advocacy and organizing are the primary ways that goals and potential are realized.
Position Overview: The Outreach and Engagement Coordinator’s primary objective is to provide outreach and recruitment for all CCL programming through outreach events, co-location services and recruitment strategies for programming, events and services. The Outreach and Engagement Coordinator will work to strengthen and deepen program partnerships with other organizations – in order to provide a warm handoff connection between our partners and CCL’s programs and services.
AREAS OF WORK
Conduct outreach and recruitment activities including: community workshops, partner meetings, member orientation, tabling events, and site visits
Mange the Co-location process at partner sites for tabling events, agency intake orientation and assessment, agency in house referral and agency representation as CCL spokesperson
Maintain a calendar of outreach activities, including community events, workshops, appearances and other communication opportunities
Establish outreach program policy and procedure guide that includes recruitment, training, and on site event management process.
Identify the needs of potential and current members through observation, connection and understanding of the community context
Develop strategies to meet the needs of the diverse member population through research, dialogue
Create an maintain positive relationships and partnerships with organizations
Ensure the implementation participant feedback and evaluation of program and services for overall alignment with CCL’s mission and strategic plan, via surveys, comments and testimonies.
Coordinate Client Entry and Assessment
Develop, Implement, and Coordinate client onboarding for agency programming and events, including: develop, implement and monitor systems to obtain agency intake documentation for enrollment completion at our partner sites.
Manage the program recruitment and assessment process for program members, including maintaining clearly defined and consistently applied enrollment criteria for members.
Effectively communicate the program's value and expectations, manage client on-boarding process, contract documents and coaching tools that assess motivators, strengths, job readiness needs, potential challenges and community supports.
Leadership Development Programming
Creates, Manages and Monitor CCL’s volunteer program, includes: outreach to fill volunteer positions, onboarding and orientation of volunteer, training and supervision of volunteers, creates volunteer program materials, and volunteer program evaluation and feedback process.
Coordinate the development of promotional and collateral materials for distribution, promotion and outreach, and social media such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter with Director of Development
Coordinate with Program Team (Financial and Employment) to communicate opportunities, outcomes and results of recruitment and engagement activities
Coordinate with Strategic Partnership Coordinator regarding outreach, engagement at partner locations
Participate in Team Meetings and CCL Staff Meetings, leading where appropriate.
Participate in personal and professional job development and skill-building opportunities.
Represent CCL externally as a staff leader, as necessary or requested.
Contribute to an environment that celebrates personal goals, accomplishments, and cultivates a learning environment.
The Outreach and Engagement Coordinator position requires flexibility in schedule, duties, or unexpected events/circumstances that may occur, so tasks not specified here may be required to successfully execute the position and may be asked upon by Administration. Occasional evenings, weekends and/or off-site work are required. This position is supervised by the Deputy Director.

Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills (required)
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline (human service, counseling, community development, social services, sociology, psychology etc.).
1+ year of experience in career coaching/services or direct service and advocacy work in the community setting with clients with barriers to housing and employment.
Track record of taking initiative and managing and advancing projects independently.
Strong strategic-thinking and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Well-organized, detail oriented with strong documentation and reporting skills.
Strong computer skills, including fluency with the internet and Microsoft Office applications.
Accountability: The Outreach and Engagement Coordinator is mutually accountable to CCL team members; is supervised by the Deputy Director, and interfaces with the administrative team on matters of external relations, marketing and resource development related to partners.

Additional Salary Information: Salary: This is a Part Time position. The pay range is between $17 - $19 and is commensurate with experience. Hours: minimum of 25 hours per week, maximum of 28 hours per week. Schedule: will vary and include some evenings and weekends, ideally a typical schedule will be Monday – Friday 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm
